About The Role

Role: Duty Manager
Location: South Ribble Tennis & Fitness Centre
Contract: Part Time (20 hours per week) / Permanent
Salary: £29,216 - £30,682 (pro-rata)
Closing Date: 30 November 2024

We are embarking on a programme of modernisation and upgrade of our leisure centres and have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and effective Manager to join our Team!

Responsible for the operation of the facility on a day to day basis and ensuring that all activities are delivered to a high standard, you will ensure that health and safety as the first priority, ensuring compliance with all procedures and legislation as appropriate to the site.

The role will involve customer interaction as well as the deployment and supervision of the Leisure centre team.

What you’ll be getting up to
  • You'll be part of the Management Team for South Ribble Leisure and will be responsible for the day to day operation of the facility
Who we’re looking for
  • The ideal candidate should have demonstrable experience in the leisure industry, or a service led background. The ideal candidate will have experience of facility management at a supervisory level and confidence in applying management systems and developing a positive health & safety culture.
Other requirements
  • This role requires some travel around our borough. You should have a valid driving licence or the equivalent mobility.
  • Successful applicants will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check (applied and paid for by the Council).
