Location: Moss Side Depot
Contract: Full time (36.25 hours per week) / Fixed Term Contract (12 months)

We’re looking for a Grounds Maintenance professional to join our Streetscene team. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining South Ribble's parks, streets, and community spaces, ensuring they’re well kept and welcoming for everyone.
What you’ll be getting up to
  • Engage in a variety of Streetscene tasks including mowing, weeding, edging, strimming, hedge maintenance, litter collection, and more.
  • Perform soft landscaping, fine turf care, tree work, and sports pitch maintenance.
  • Participate in street cleansing tasks such as fly-tipping removal.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times.
  • Operate grounds maintenance tools and vehicles.
  • Respond to minor emergencies like flooding, obstructions, and damaged street furniture.
Who we’re looking for
  • You take pride in maintaining high standards for South Ribble's parks, streets, and community spaces.
  • You collaborate well with others to tackle various tasks and create a positive work environment.
  • You handle diverse responsibilities like hedge maintenance, litter collection, and street cleansing with ease.
  • You are vigilant about health and safety protocols, ensuring tasks are carried out safely.
  • You are proficient with grounds maintenance tools and vehicles.
  • You act quickly and effectively in minor emergencies to keep community spaces safe.
Other requirements
  •   This role requires you to regularly use a vehicle therefore you must possess a valid UK Driving Licence.
