About The Role

We are looking to expand the aquatics team at both All Seasons Leisure Centre and Brinscall Swimming Pool and are seeking passionate and fun swimming teachers to help teach our community how to swim!

There are a range of working hours available across the week, consisting of mornings between 9-12pm, afternoons between 1-3pm, evenings between 4-7pm during the week and between 8-11am at the weekends.

Who we’re looking for
We are looking for caring individuals to create a positive environment in which to motivate and encourage participation of children and adults in swimming lessons.

What you’ll be getting up to

As a Swimming Teacher you will plan, prepare and deliver a range of swimming lessons to all abilities. You will communicate clear explanations and demonstrate appropriate swimming techniques to pupils, assess pupils’ abilities, providing feedback and encouragement to improve the performance of swimmers.

Additional requirements

The following qualifications are essential:

  • Swim England (SE) Level 2 Teaching Swimming Qualification or Swimming Teachers Association (STA) Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Swimming.
  • National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
  • This role requires a DBS Check (applied and paid for by the Council)
