We are seeking a Grants and Funding Officer to join Community Partnerships Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with voluntary groups and partner organisations to strengthen support for Chorley residents and deliver local initiatives.

What you’ll be getting up to
In this role you will play a key part in the delivery and oversight of grants and funding programmes managed by the service. You will engage and collaborate with voluntary, community, and faith sector organisations across Chorley. You will support the development of local processes, and you will build strong relationships with partners to deliver our council aims.  You will assist with designing and implementing fair and transparent bidding, commissioning, and procurement processes to ensure local community groups receive appropriate funding to deliver projects. 

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for someone who has a degree or equivalent experience in community development, working with the voluntary sector, or a related field. You will need strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent organisational abilities, and the confidence to work independently as well as part of a team
