How about all the above! This job takes the definition of variety to the next level. So in return, we’re looking for adaptable, professional and customer focused professionals to join our prestigious Civics Team. 

What you’ll be getting up to

You’ll have been drawn to this job because you love variety in your work. And truly no two days are the same in this role.

  • You’ll provide assistance to the Mayor in their duties for the Council’s. This could include attending events within the council and at external events.
  • You’ll also be responsible for driving the Mayor to events on occasion, and at these times, be responsible for the upkeep of the Mayor’s Car
  • Day to day, you’ll work within the Town Hall and Civic Centre at West Paddock to assist the wider Civics team with the upkeep and maintenance of the Town Hall and other Council properties.
  • You’ll greet and sign-post guests as they visit the Town Hall and other Council offices.

Who we’re looking for

  • This job is extremely varied, so we’re looking for someone who’s very adaptable and is proactive in their work
  • You’ll constantly be dealing with customers, whether these are Council staff, the general public or guests of the Mayor. So we’re looking for someone with first-class customer service skills.
Other requirements
  • This role requires you to regularly use a vehicle therefore you must possess a valid UK Driving Licence.
